• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.

Production of a Landini 7 Series heavy-duty tractors has begun at ARGO's headquarters assembly plant in Italy. Deere to spend $58 million to upgrade seeding operations

According to a report in the Quad-City Times, Deere will invest approximately $58 million to enhance operations at its John Deere Seeding operation in Moline, the company has announced. Deere said the investment will be made in conjunction with a new factory master plan that targets enhancements in efficiency and quality. Improvements will include a new paint system and increased use of automation and robotics. More

Survey shows Harley-Davidson U.S. retail up 12-14 per cent

A survey of 55 Harley-Davidson dealers by Baird analyst Craig Kennison shows U.S. retail up low double-digits through mid-November, according to a research note provided by Baird to Powersports Business. "U.S. demand is tracking up 12-14 per cent, well above our 4 per cent estimate," Kennison reports. More

Yamaha generators to supply power at NASCAR championship weekend

Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A.'s outdoor power equipment division announced today a two-year partnership with Homestead-Miami Speedway to power the final NASCAR race weekend activities of the season. The three-day Ford Championship Weekend begins on Friday and closes out NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series, the Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series. Yamaha will supply water pumps, phone charging stations and generators to enhance fans' experiences and keep on-site operations running smoothly. More

Turkish ArmaTrac tractors will come to the U.K. next year

Turkey has 32 tractor makers and a huge domestic market to supply. Some models have come to the U.K. in the past, mainly in the form of rebadged machines slotted into the lower horsepower end of multinational makers' ranges. However, ArmaTrac is thought to be the first Turkish manufacturer to use its own brand name and distribution network in the U.K. This is being set up at the moment, with plans to have six dealers in place early next year.
