Global business climate for agricultural machinery has weakened

Agrievolution Alliance says manufacturers of tractors and agricultural machines are less satisfied with their current business situation than they have been in the past four years, based on responses to its latest biannual survey of machine manufacturers and importers. Agrievolution Alliance, a global network of the leading agricultural machinery associations representing more than 6,000 equipment manufacturers worldwide, presented the survey results during a press conference at EIMA International 2014 in Bologna, Italy.

Holmer beet harvester aims to cut compaction

Agrifac’s latest Holmer Terra Dos T4-30 beet harvester has gained more power and offers more functions too. New Holland completes acquisition of Miller-St. Nazianz, Inc.

CNH Industrial N.V. announced that it has completed the acquisition of precision spraying equipment manufacturer Miller-St. Nazianz, Inc. All assets and activities of Miller are being incorporated into CNH Industrial’s New Holland brand. The Miller products will be further integrated into the New Holland Agriculture portfolio which specializes in agricultural machinery.

Morbark adds 8 more Boxer dealers

Level-wind: rolling 1/4 mile of wire in 5 minutes, without the puncture wounds

Rolling wire isn’t most people’s idea of a good time. It’s frustrating, time-consuming work that can wear on your pride…and your gloves. B.A.M. Enterprises is offering a hydraulic solution, with their Level-Wind wire roller, an implement that was on display at this year’s Canadian Western Agribition. The Level-Wind is a fairly simple machine. It mounts to tractor drawbars, front end loaders, post pounders and some deck trucks, with an optional three-point hitch mount available. The barbed wire spool holds 1/4 mile of barbed wire, which takes about 5 minutes to roll. A high-tensile spool is also available, and holds up to 1 mile of wire.

Mahindra USA partners with Intimidator to offer UTV

Mahindra USA announced that it is teaming up with Intimidator Inc. to manufacturer an all-new line of utility vehicles, the Mahindra mPACTTM XTV. The mPACTTM XTV rollout will begin with six models available through Mahindra’s dealer network beginning in early 2015. Mahindra dealers were given a sneak preview of the new utility vehicles at Mahindra’s Regional Dealer Meetings in October.

MF tractor arrives in Antarctica for North Pole journey

Massey Ferguson’s project to drive an MF5610 tractor to the South Pole in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary’s 1958 Antarctic journey kicked off last weekend with the start of its 3,100 mile journey across the ice. Transported in a IL76 heavy-cargo aircraft, the tractor landed at Novo Runway from Cape Town where it has been undergoing some final preparations for its polar adventure.

Kinze develops its Autonomous Tractor Project

In 2011 Kinze, a company best known for building planters and grain carts, surprised many industry observers by announcing it had taken a plunge into the high-tech world of robotics with its Autonomous Tractor Project. It partnered with Jaybridge Robotics of Cambridge, Massachusetts, to develop an automated system to control tractors that pull grain carts through a field, making the driver redundant.
