Anyone looking for a snowblower may have to accept their fate and keep shovelling. The blowers are hard to find in the St. John’s metro area. Some dealers have lengthy waitlists on orders and there seems to be little chance of clearance sales.

Lamma: Bale wrapper Tanco to show three new models

Irish bale wrapper specialist Tanco says it will have three new machines at the show. The 175 Multi Shear, which featured in our Agritechnica report in November, is designed to reduce the number of loader attachments required by livestock farmers. It allows farmers to feed baled silage and pit silage with the same implement and there are no settings changes to be made between the two.

Multi-hybrid planter to advance precision ag research

When plant scientist Peter Sexton needed a new row-crop planter at the Beresford research farm, he looked to the future — in terms of equipment and networking. With support from the Southeast Experiment Farm Board, a nonprofit growers' association that owns the farm, the Agricultural Experiment Station researcher forged a partnership with Raven Industries and DuPont Pioneer. The resulting collaboration serves as a template for success in innovation and research.

Mahindra USA announces new tractor models

Mahindra USA, has introduced eight new Tier IV compliant tractors. Here are the new Mahindra tractors to be available in January 2014 (the Max 24 will be available in December 2013). Each of the new tractors is Tier IV compliant while the mPower 75, 3550, 4550, 5555 and 4565 tractors all feature the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), unique to the Mahindra mCRD engine.

The Dynamic Feed Roll improves feeder performance up to 10 per cent with greater throughput. Krone launches additional model to AX range of forage wagons

KRONE is complementing its range of small-capacity forage wagons with the introduction of a 31cu.m capacity machine. The new AX 310 GL/GD features the same forward-sloping chain and slat floor, designed to reduce the distance through which the material flows from the rotor cutter into the wagon.
