Last Chance for Early Bird Registration Rates!

Early bird registration rates end this Friday, April 10! Register for the upcoming COA, CORS and CAOS Annual Meeting by this Friday to obtain the reduced early bird rates. The 2015 Annual Meeting will be held in Vancouver from June 17-20.

The administration at his centre in Corner Brook, Newfoundland is proposing limitations on the type of orthopaedic patient that can be examined and evaluated in the orthopaedic clinic. Do you evaluate all patients without restrictions (not only fracture patients) presenting with all types of musculoskeletal problems in your clinic? Hospital wait times pushing Albertans to leave Canada for back surgery

With pain shooting across his waist and lower back, Ken Skoreyko could only ever sleep in the fetal position, sometimes bedridden for days on end. To keep working his job in the oil patch, he needed open back surgery, and he needed it soon. According to Alberta Health Services, 90 per cent of Albertans in need of spine surgery face wait times between 26 and 37.4 weeks.

Plus de 420 000 Québécois en attente d'un médecin

Au mois de mars 2015, plus de 420 000 Québécois inscrits au GACO étaient en attente d'un médecin de famille. On constate aussi que le nombre de Québécois en attente a augmenté de 82 pour cent en un an, soit près de 190 000 personnes; Selon le ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), le nombre de patients en attente a triplé dans la région de Chaudière-Appalaches et Nord du Québec, et plus que doublé au Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, à Montréal, en Mauricie, en Estrie et dans la Capitale-Nationale.

Wait remains lengthy for foot, ankle surgery
