Dear ##firstname##

As technology leaders and the Co-Chairs of the Pennsylvania CoSN State Chapter, we have been working to provide opportunities for growth and leadership for ed tech leaders in our state. As an integral partner with the Pennsylvania Association for Education, Communication, and Technology (PAECT), we are committed to improving practices relative to implementing and utilizing technology in our schools.

Whether your district is implementing a 1:1 initiative, rolling out iPads, or refining an Acceptable Use Policy, CoSN has the research and resources available to provide guidance for a successful implementation. Additionally, CoSN's Framework of Essential Skills of the K-12 CTO fully ensures that your district technology administrators are prepared to be a viable and effective CTO in today's education environment.

We would like to extend an invitation for you to join our influential and powerful community as a CoSN Institutional Member. As a special incentive, we would like to invite you to join CoSN under an 18-month membership at the cost of 1 year (6 months Free!). This is a limited offer ending March 15th, 2013.

Remember: Unlimited staff members in your district can be added to the membership record, and everyone who is added receives all the benefits of CoSN membership.

CoSN members receive exclusive publications on emerging technologies, free educational webinars, networking opportunities and much more. We provide an array of useful resources for you and your leadership team:
  1. Professional Development — CoSN provides a range of compelling resources and professional development opportunities for school district leaders who want to leverage technology to realize engaging learning environments. CoSN has just launched the only nationally recognized Chief Technology Officer (CTO) certification for district technology leaders to expand their skills and competencies.

  2. Information Sharing — CoSN, in partnership with our state chapters, organizes opportunities to spark dialogue, collaborate and meet face-to-face at events like CTO Leadership Forums, Regional CTO Clinics and our Annual Conference, to name a few.

  3. Policy Advocacy — CoSN's Washington Update and ETAN (EdTech Action Network) are just some of the ways CoSN maintains a strong voice and vital presence in Washington to champion the interests of our members.
In addition, I would like to encourage you to attend our upcoming 2013 CoSN Annual Conference, Audacious Leadership, where we will showcase leaders who have led their schools and organizations boldly, daring to confront convention, and have inspiring stories to tell. The conference is in San Diego, CA, March 11-13, 2013. If you cannot attend in person, consider CoSNVirtual — live streaming of this year's plenary sessions and special sessions to keep you engaged in the this professional advancement experience.

If you have questions about joining CoSN or about attending the CoSN Annual Conference, please contact Sarah Landers, our Membership Coordinator, at slanders@cosn.org.
