MP: Canadians regularly going to U.S. for long stays need to be mindful of changes

A B.C. MP is warning people about a new information-sharing agreement between Canada and the United States that could put travellers who regularly spend a lot of time in the U.S. at risk of significant consequences. The Entry Exit Initiative allows officials to track how many days Canadians have spent in the U.S. Prior to the agreement, the country could only track entry dates, not exit dates.

Vancouver real estate developer makes offer to buy bankrupt Wyndansea resort

A Vancouver-based real estate developer has stepped forward to acquire the unfinished Wyndansea resort in Ucluelet, a pending deal that proposes to repay a long list of creditors a small fraction of funds owed from the bankrupt project. In a report made for the Supreme Court of British Columbia, bankruptcy trustee Ernst Young announced that the Onni Group has been selected to take over the 360-acre property next to Long Beach.

Dolce, Wyndham deal makes 'perfect sense'

The $57 million acquisition of Dolce Hotels and Resorts by Wyndham Hotel Group is a marriage of familiar bedfellows, according to the former's president and CEO, Steve Rudnitsky. The man himself personifies the connection. Before joining Dolce in November 2008, Rudnitsky served in the top post at Wyndham for six years.
