Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure announced that its U.S. resident members traveled approximately 24 nights per year for leisure purposes during the last 12 months, and report average annual household income of $121,550, more than twice the median household income according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Canada one of world's top 10 tourist destinations
Canada continues to be one of the top 10 tourist destinations in the world, the latest survey by the World Economic Forum suggests. The WEF's Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index, which assesses 140 countries across 14 different categories and evaluates their appeal to travellers, said Canada scored eighth in this year's rankings, up one spot from the last survey two years ago.

The Neptune scheme at New Brighton also looks set to create even more jobs and a major boost to the local economy. Local councillor and Wirral council cabinet member for regeneration, Pat Hackett, said the scheme was a "major boost for the town and for Wirral as a whole at a time of recession and economic downturn".
Riviera Nayarit amps up its resort scene

Proposed resort welcomed by Valemount

A proposed glacier ski resort near Valemount is proceeding to an official review process. The provincial government has signed off on an interim agreement for the Valemount Glacier Destination Resort proposal which calls for the development of a year-round glacier ski resort as well as a golf course, and up to 2,000 beds of accomodation.
