Manning Park Resort saved as buyer steps in with plans to restore iconic B.C. facility

B.C.-based Sunshine Valley RV Resorts & Cabins has purchased Manning Park Resort. The court-appointed sale of the assets of Gibson Pass Resort was approved and the new owners are scheduled to take possession on April 25. "We are confident and committed to rebuilding the customer service that complements and respects the values of B.C. Parks," said Kevin Demers, who owns Sunshine Valley with his wife Donna, said in a news release.

Colombia market study commissioned by Interval International reveals consumer interest in shared ownership

According to research commissioned by Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services, one of four active leisure travelers residing in Colombia is interested in acquiring a shared resort real estate product during the next two years. The findings also reveal that nine in 10 find condominium-style accommodations an appealing alternative to traditional resorts, hotels or motels, and more than four in 10 plan to take more leisure trips in the next 12 months than they did the year before.
