2014 Canadian Resort Conference Confirmed For Toronto

The Canadian Resort Conference will be held 23-24 September 2014 at Pantages, a Skyline Hotel that is just steps away from Downtown Toronto's art, entertainment and shopping districts, and is considered among the leading boutique hotels in the city. The annual conference, which alternates between locations in Eastern and Western Canada, will be extended from the previous one day format into a two day event comprising of a half day networking activity and a day and a half of debates and educational sessions, providing invaluable opportunities to spend time exploring business opportunities with Canadian and International attendees.

The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC)'s 2013 Annual Report: Helping Tourism Businesses Prosper reviews a good 12 months' work for CTC and the Canadian tourism industry. The report demonstrates that tourism is Canada's number one service export — indeed, leisure travel accounted for almost one-fifth of Canada's international trade in services. Overall tourism export revenue grew 2.5 per cent to reach $16.4 billion.

Online timeshare resale advertiser BuyaTimeshare.com has released offer figures for the first quarter of 2014 and the results show a considerable increase in the offers placed on timeshares for sale which are advertised through the website. The number of inbound confirmed offers to buy timeshares increased 80 per cent in the first quarter compared to the first quarter of 2013, totaling $15,980,329 worth of offers from prospective buyers seeking to purchase the product.
