Omni Hotels and Resorts to take over running Toronto's King Edward Hotel

Omni Hotels & Resorts has signed a deal to take over management and operation of Toronto’s King Edward Hotel on Aug. 1, and acquire a stake in the landmark property. The 110-year-old property will be renamed the Omni King Edward Hotel. The hotel is currently run by Skyline Hotels and Resorts, a subsidiary of Skyline International Development.

Why Mexicans prefer the United States for residential real estate purchases

Mexico ranked third, after Canada and China, in international purchases of U.S. residential real estate in the year through March 2013, according to the National Association of Realtors. The NAR's 2013 Profile of International Home Buying Activity, an analysis of data gathered from realtors, reports that nearly 50 per cent of purchases by Mexicans in the U.S. were in suburban areas and about 30 per cent in resort areas.
