Integration Quarterly Magazine
The Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department is responsible for protecting public health, safety and the environment in Tucson, Arizona. Obama Proposes New Muni Bonds for Public-Private Investments
President Barack Obama is proposing a new class of municipal bonds to spur private investment in U.S. infrastructure projects. The program, called Qualified Public Infrastructure Bonds, wouldn’t expire, and there’d be no cap on issuance, the administration said in a statement Friday. The debt also wouldn’t be subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax, which limits the tax benefits and exemptions that high-earning individuals can claim.

Obama, Congress Agree on Infrastructure Need, if not Fix
President Barack Obama and the Republican-controlled Congress he addressed Tuesday night agree they need to fix the country’s infrastructure funding problem before the money runs out on May 31. But so far, they’ve found little agreement on how to get there.

New York has $5 billion in bank settlement money to spend and one pro-business group has some ideas on how they should invest it. Biden to Announce Water Infrastructure Spending Push
The Hill
Vice President Biden will announce a trio of new federal initiatives designed to spur new infrastructure spending to upgrade the nation’s drinking and waste water systems. The programs, which Biden will announce following a tour of the Anacostia River Tunnel Project — a massive underground tunnel that will store storm water in an effort to clean up the capital’s notoriously polluted rivers — are the latest effort in a push by the Obama administration to help facilitate local and private spending on infrastructure projects.

Will New York Renew its Design-Build Legislation in 2015?
City & State
New York's design-build law has been heralded as a cost-cutting and time-saving tool to help spur road and bridge projects across the state over the past few years. But state lawmakers failed to renew the design-build legislation during the 2014 legislative session and the law expired at the end of December, leaving its fate uncertain going into 2015.

Opinion: The Chase is on Over Federal Transportation Bill
The Boston Globe
When John Belushi screamed "Food fight!" in the middle of the Faber College dining hall, he wasn't thinking much about politics. He definitely wasn't thinking about writing a federal transportation bill. Both activities, however, share some basic elements of choreography — great characters squaring off, strong fraternal bonds, and student government run amok. Unlike Congress, however, “Animal House” sports a Deathmobile and has a better sound track.
