EWGA participates in South Florida PGA free Women's Day Event

 The South Florida Section of PGA Hosted its 2013 Women's Day event at Abacoa Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla., on Saturday, Feb. 23. The event was open to women of all ages and abilities and featured equipment demos, group lessons on full swing and short game techniques and tips, as well as a demonstration by EWGA's Fairway Friends Ambassador, LPGA Player Michelle McGann. Pictured here are representatives from EWGA's Palm Beach County Chapter and Association headquarters who were on hand to talk to event attendees about the EWGA and benefits of membership. Honda Classic touts golf as women's networking tool

Editor's Note: The PGA TOUR is hosting Executive Women's Days at select PGA Tournaments throughout their 2013 season. With the Honda Classic being played at PGA National's Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens this week right down the street from EWGA's Headquarters, EWGA was excited to participate and share in promoting the message to event attendees that golf is a women's business networking tool and how women can get into the game. Local EWGA Chapter sponsor Susie Dwinnell from PNC Bank well understands the role that golf plays as a business tool and shared her thoughts in the article below.
Golf is good business. That was the message recently to about 190 women business owners and entrepreneurs who attended Executive Women's Day at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The daylong program is part of a continuing nationwide effort by the PGA Tour and pharmaceutical company Astellas to encourage women not only to play golf but to use the game as a marketing tool.
