Who are the players in the personalized map?
Sensors & Systems
The progression toward all maps as personal maps has been ongoing, but with Google's vocal declaration of that goal, as well as their efforts to initiate a new wearable computing interface with Google Glass, the era of a personalized map experience is rapidly approaching. Join GITA's next webinar this Friday, Sept. 20
GITA
Join GITA's free webinar on Using Oblique Imagery for Integrity Management/HCA Analysis this Friday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. Central Time. David Petterson of EagleView Technologies will speak about the current accurate High Consequence Area analysis for pipeline integrity management programs that require extensive field work, coupled with ortho imagery and other data sources. Oblique, or angled imagery, has been shown to dramatically reduce field visits, while increasing HCA verification accuracy. High resolution obliques allow users to clearly identify habitable versus non-habitable structures, places of public meeting, as well as buildings that are four stories or more. Oblique imagery also has the benefit of being a referable data source compared to field reports and can be used throughout the enterprise for general day-to-day applications.
