Kristi Broom Presents How the Workforce Learns with Degreed, November 20th, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM ET
This webinar is presented by Degreed, a Performance & Learning Month Partner.
FREE for members and non-members.
Traditional L&D isn’t obsolete, but it has become outdated. That’s why Degreed partnered with Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning to collect data from nearly 800 workers, managers, and leaders from around the globe to gain insight into where L&D can be more effective.
And the survey says...L&D is falling short for the modern workforce. In fact, our respondents gave their employers an overall Net Promoter Score of -25 on their learning and development strategies.
But many business leaders know this already. What they don’t know is how to fix it.
The good news is that employees still love learning and they’re looking for organizational guidance. By honing in on the data and insights that impact how people — and companies — learn, you can make smarter investments in your most valuable assets: your people’s skills.
Register for this webinar to learn:
- The difference between learning and acquiring new skills.
- How to apply hard metrics to your L&D strategy.
- How to align your employees’ learning goals with those of your larger company
Chris Taylor & Alyssa Burkus Present Future-proof your L&D Career, December 11th, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM ET
As organizations put increasing demands for the effectiveness and value of learning programs, the skills of the learning professional need to change as well. Learning professionals, whether in-house L&D teams or consultants, trainers or coaches, need to be able to design and develop programs that deliver measurable organizational change and impact. This comes from aligning learning outcomes to business metrics, and extending learning (as Bersin coined) into the “flow of work”, by ensuring that learning content is used and applied to daily work activities. In our session, we’ll talk about where to focus your personal learning and skill building to meet the ever-changing demands of the L&D profession.
If you are a learning professional, consultant, coach or trainer looking to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly changing learning industry, you’ll want to join our webinar to understand the trends and influences shaping our world, and how to evolve your skills in order to stay competitive and deliver compelling learning solutions.
National webinars are always free for members and $50 +tax for non-members.
These events count towards 1 credit
hour each for certification maintenance.
Please note that there are two steps in the registration process. First, you are required to register on the I4PL website and then the second step is to register on the ZOOM platform. The second step will be sent to you 48 hours before the webinar that will then send a confirmation email with the dial-in instructions. For questions, please contact email@example.com

Training Industry Magazine
For more than 100 years, formal education has followed the same model. Everyone participates for the same length of time, and because some people learn better (or are more capable) than others, learning outcomes vary. From kindergarten to college, the story is the same: Some people are "A" students, while others fail. Some grasp the material within a fixed time allotment and achieve competency, while others, to varying degrees, do not.
Harvard Business Review
Charles W. Eliot, who served as President of Harvard University for a record 40 years, charted a roadmap for education in his seminal essay, The New Education. Written in 1869, it made the case for continuously updating how and what students learn, so education could evolve in step with society. That approach remains just as relevant today, 150 years later. Today's educators have to rethink higher education for a world that's being overturned by technology.
Learning Solutions Magazine
"Success has nothing to do with money, titles, and possessions; success is only about committing — everyday — to becoming the absolute best you can be," says John Mattone, former coach to Steve Jobs and currently ranking world's #2 executive coach. Despite these words of wisdom, many businesses argue that the time spent on continued training is time lost to productivity. No doubt, the process of learning and development is complex, particularly in the corporate environment.
