Connecticut Governor Suspends Adult Education Program for Licensed Practical Nurses

Students and nursing experts were shocked to learn that Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell has decided to suspend the state's adult education program for licensed practical nurses to help address the state's budget deficit. The program, offered at 10 state technical high schools, produces about 350 LPNs every 16 months who go on to work in the state's nursing homes, group homes, schools and other settings. More
