In Memoriam: Don Krueger

Don Krueger
Donald Matthew Krueger, an IAVM Honorary Member, recently passed away. He was 79.

Kruger was born on September 16, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. He spent four years in the United States Air Force, which relocated him out west to Las Vegas, Nevada and later to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he started his family with wife Angie Gutierrez, who predeceased him in 1971.

On March 25, 1974 Don married his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Carol. Krueger retired from the City of Albuquerque after 29 years of service, which include management of the City Warehouse, Civic Auditorium, and Convention Center, which he opened.

He had an infectious zest for life, which included fishing, golf, and feeding the slot machines. Don is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his brothers George and wife Annette and Jim and wife Pat, daughter Joline Gutierrez Krueger, twin daughters Janine Ford and Justine Krueger, Donald Krueger and wife Liz, and his twin sister Denise Maffit and husband Brian, and son Matt and wife Catherine.
