New chapter executive directors visit the national office for orientation Independent Electrical Contractors Share ![]() ![]() ![]()
An Executive Director Orientation was conducted at the IEC National Office, Jan. 12–13. Participants included Julie Pipal, Idaho Chapter; Terry Cromer, North Carolina
Chapter; Linda Taylor, Illinois Chapter; Phyllis Franzoy, Southern New Mexico Chapter; Mary Jo Kennedy, New Jersey Chapter; and Yvonne Elizondo, national staff. The orientation covered various subjects pertaining to association management and IEC programs including IEC Governance, the IEC Foundation, Apprenticeship Training and Education, Membership Development, Government Affairs and PAC, Association Legal Topics, Safety and Codes, National Meetings, Communications, and Industry Partners. The

IEC Foundation receives capital grant Independent Electrical Contractors Share ![]() ![]() ![]()
The Independent Electrical Contractors Foundation has received a $67,100 capital grant from the San Antonio Area Foundation (TRIAD Fund) that will benefit IEC San Antonio. Funding for this program was provided by the Texas Resources for Iraq–Afghanistan Deployment (TRIAD) Fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation. The San Antonio Area Foundation aspires to significantly enhance the quality of life of the San Antonio area community by providing outstanding service to donors, producing significant asset growth strengthening community collaboration and managing an exemplary grants program.
