A recently released report looked at 18 trends, technologies and challenges that will affect higher education in the next five years. But they’ll also have an impact on associations as those students become members.
Smooth the Path
Here’s an unpopular view: Association staff should focus most on those members who value the association the most. I get the sense among association professionals this concept is not really okay for most associations.
The Demand Networks
What do you do when your industry is shrinking or not growing? Communities offer the perfect ecosystem for creating those on-point, targeted ads. It’s already a go-to resource for many members to interact about a specific industry, product or service. Plus, there’s an assumed trust when it comes to the community -- members trust your organization, and assume you wouldn’t sell ads for scammy products or services (which means you should work hard to keep that trust).
