LOCATOR

Is your current system still keeping you up at night?
Are you concerned that one day soon you will not be able to access your data and it will be trapped in your system never to be seen or heard from again? Are you worried that day could be tomorrow? Are your support calls going unanswered, unreturned or unacknowledged? Chances are that if you are using outdated technology you answered "Yes" to many if not all of these questions.

Don't let aging technology and non-existent customer support keep you up at night. At Locator Services, we have successfully migrated data from marginally supported systems for years. Whether your system is an in house legacy system or built on archaic technology that is no longer supported we can help you.

If you are still using an in-house application or older technology system and would like to migrate to a newer state of the art system simply call Jim Bowman at 703-683-5957 or email JBowman@locatoronline.com. He would also be happy to schedule an online demonstration of the software for you at your earliest convenience. MDNA members may qualify for a 10 percent discount!More

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Past MDNA member Richard (Dick) Christian, Co-founder of Lincoln Machinery Sales Corp., founded in 1949, passed away on Sunday, May 24. He worked full-time until just past his 90th birthday when he reverted to part time, due to some health setbacks. He was 91 years old when he passed away. A longtime member of the MDNA, Lincoln Machinery Sales Corp. joined in 1950.

Romas Juodvalkis of MDNA member firm Allways Precision Inc., tells us that “he was a good friend and mentor to me and convinced me that I needed to be in the MDNA.”

The services were held at St James The Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 on Friday, May 29.

Please extend your thoughts and prayers to the family.More

Manufacturing growth speeds up for first time in 6 months
The New York Times
Manufacturing growth in the United States accelerated in May for the first time in six months, propelled by more new orders and an increase in hiring. Meet the new generation of robots for manufacturing
The Wall Street Journal
A new generation of robots is on the way — smarter, more mobile, more collaborative and more adaptable. They promise to bring major changes to the factory floor, as well as potentially to the global competitive landscape. Robots deployed in manufacturing today tend to be large, dangerous to anyone who strays too close to their whirling arms, and limited to one task, like welding, painting or hoisting heavy parts.More
