2015 National Conference — Questionnaire results
By all accounts, the 2015 National Conference was a huge success and is still being talked about. Here are some survey results, as completed by delegates, sponsors, speakers and exhibitors:

96 per cent of respondents stated that the conference met or exceeded their expectations

Overall people seemed to like the TED Talks format, with an average score of 4.26 out of 5.

Of the three keynote speakers, Paul Smith was the highest rated, followed by Marie Wolfe, then Kristen Luck

One of the highest scores of all items on the questionnaire, 4.59

Food quantity and variety scored higher than food quality

Certified Marketing Research Professional CMRP — Are you ready to step up?
The CMRP (Certified Marketing Research Professional) designation was introduced to further MRIA's goal of raising the level of professionalism within the marketing research industry. We are delighted to have 18 new CMRPs who successfully completed the exam in February. The next Comprehensive Marketing Research Exam (CMRE) Prep Course takes place on October 7-8, 2015 and the next CMRE Exam on November 7-8, 2015! Note as well, the next 402 Advanced Analysis Techniques, will take place on Sept. 10 and 11, and the recorded version will be provided for distance learning. 3-way federal race would have unpredictable outcome

A series of new polls suggests the three federal parties are locked in a virtual three-way tie. If that holds until Election Day, it would be a first for Canada and the resulting seat totals would be nearly unpredictable. Three polls published over the last few days peg the race to be as close as it gets.

Millennials and political news

When it comes to where younger Americans get news about politics and government, social media look to be the local TV of the millennial generation. About six-in-ten online millennials (61 per cent) report getting political news on Facebook in a given week, a much larger percentage than turn to any other news source, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis.
