A movie theater with a mission: Employing the disabled

A movie theater in Connecticut isn't just showing the latest Hollywood hits: The Prospector Theater employs mostly disabled people, giving them valuable work experience and confidence they can succeed in the job world. Valerie Jensen, whose sister Hope has Down syndrome, realized disabled individuals needed jobs and work experience after developing arts programs for them for many years. When she learned the Ridgefield Playhouse, a movie theater built in 1939, was slated for demolition, she saw an opportunity.

Memphis CCM class to feature tours and ballgame
NAC
The National Association of Concessionaires (NAC) has announced an exciting development in conjunction with its upcoming Concession Manager Certification (CCM). This class will be held on April 15-18 in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition to the course, NAC Board member George Raub, IV, CCM of Delaware North Sportservice has graciously offered to host the class to a game and tour of AutoZone Park and show the recently completed renovations to the ballpark. Course instructor Larry Etter, CCM, Senior Vice President of Theatre Services with Malco Theatres and Director of Education for NAC, will also give the class a tour of a recently opened Malco Theatre.

Bali Hai, a world-class course right on the strip, will allow for an earlier start time (7:00) and should afford golfer's the opportunity to get back to Caesars hours earlier to resume their activities, including trade show set-up, on the first day of the show.

The Concession & Hospitality Expo will take place on July 21-24 at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and the adjacent Duke Energy Convention Center. The 2015 Trade Show is at the Duke Energy Center right across the street from the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and will be held on Wednesday, July 22 (1 – 4 p.m.) and Thursday, July 23 (2 – 4 p.m.) and is open to full and tabletop displays.

Leaked photos show Oreo's next cookie flavor

The classic black and white Oreo is about to turn pink and blue. Leaked photos on Instagram show photos of cotton candy-flavored Oreos. The cotton candy Oreo creation appears to consist of the same cookie as Golden Oreos, but filled with a pink and blue cream concoction. Nabisco confirmed that the cookie photos were leaked, but would not say when the cookies would hit shelves.
