The first General Electric GEnx engines on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner came to life with initial engine starts. Customers can choose between the GEnx engines and the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines to power their 787s. United Airlines and its regional affiliates posted a slim 0.6 percent increase in April traffic, less than gains reported by two other carriers, but an important revenue ratio jumped by more than one-fifth in a sign that airlines are gaining power to raise prices.
