Flights from Finland, Estonia to Israel from Arutz Sheva After a nine year break, the Finnish tourism operator Aurinkomatkat has decided to renew flights from Finland to Israel. It will likewise begin direct flights from Estonia to Israel. The operator will charter a weekly flight on Sundays between Tallinn, Estonia's capital, and Eilat between October and December. The new 180 seat-flight will join the ranks of existing charter flights from Finland and St. Petersburg to Israel. More
Passengers Treated at BWI from The Arundel Muckraker Six people were treated for heat-related illnesses at BWI Airport, Baltimore after their plane's broken air conditioning system forced an unscheduled landing. The World Airways flight was carrying members of the military overseas when the heat became unbearable, according to airline and airport officials. Two people were hospitalized with "some sort of heat-related complaint," airport spokesman Jonathan Dean said. Four others were treated at the airport. More
Safety Fix Ordered by FAA for 767s from the Philadelphia Inquirer The Federal Aviation Administration yesterday ordered operators to make safety adjustments to the fuel tanks of 414 Boeing 767s registered in the U.S. to prevent a midflight explosion. The directive gives operators three years to install an automatic fuel-pump shutoff system for the center fuel tanks on 767s. More
