The National Association of Home Builders and the National Kitchen & Bath Association announced an agreement to co-locate the International Builders' Show and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas beginning in February 2014. The two events will remain separate and distinct shows held simultaneously at the Las Vegas Convention Center through 2016, creating Design and Construction Week, one of the world's largest gatherings focused on new ideas, products and technologies to design, build and remodel homes.More

Three new surveys indicate that green building remains strong despite the uncertain global economy, with designers and builders anticipating an increasing number of green projects. McGraw-Hill Construction has released two reports: "2012 World Green Building Trends" surveyed building-related firms in 62 countries, while "2013 Dodge Construction Green Outlook" focused on the expectations of U.S. firms. Turner Construction's "Green Building Market Barometer" surveyed 718 executives of U.S. firms.More
