Please Help Us Promote the Yellow School Bus!
NAPT has been calling since early 2007 for a federal campaign to promote the yellow school and we now have a shot to make it happen. Several members of Congress have agreed to send a letter to the Secretary of Transportation urging him to allocate $5 million dollars from his budget for this project. The more
members of Congress that support this effort, the better our chance of success.
Please write your local representative and encourage him/her to support this endeavor. A sample letter you can send has been provided on our NAPT Web site in the Industry News section. Please fax or email your letter to your Congressional representative, as this is the fastest method of delivery. To find your local representative, visit this Web site: www.house.gov.
As you know, the yellow school bus is the safest form of ground transportation in the country - it saves lives, reduces energy consumption, diminishes traffic congestion, and therefore, also helps the environment. Now is the time to let everyone in on the story.
Please act
today!
For more information, you may also visit NSTA's (National School Transportation Association) Web site at www.yellowbuses.org.
