Researchers argue for new approach to school safety
Education Week    Share   Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article

Mayer, the Rutgers University professor who helped guest-edit the special issue, which features contributions from scholars from eight disciplines. "We all work with similar youths but sometimes we've operated from within our own silos." More

For homeless kids, Portland school and its buses are constants in a world of chaos
Oregon Live    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Traffic is light and the sun still below the horizon as Penny Scrivner eases her yellow school bus to a stop in front of a Clackamas County apartment complex at 6:30 one recent morning in Oregon. Baby strollers sit in front of many doors, and toys litter the grass. Scrivner peers through the bus window, looking for activity. "I never know if anyone will be here when I arrive," she says. "Last week, I came to get a seventh-grader, and he was gone." She shakes her head. "Just vanished," she says. "I hope he's OK." More

Thomas Net    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
With the right attitude and approach, negotiations can be made smoother for all the parties involved in the bargaining process. Negotiating an agreement mutually acceptable to both parties involved is never an easy thing. Entreprenuer    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
