Carrow led the effort to bring figure skating to Greensboro

Four years after their debut in Greensboro, North Carolina, the U.S. Figure Skating Championships have returned to the Greensboro Coliseum, with Hill Carrow again serving as chairman of the local organizing committee. Carrow, the 60-year-old CEO of Sports & Properties Inc. in Cary, led the effort to bring figure skating to Greensboro in 2011, convincing an established winter sport to try a little Southern hospitality.

The Mobile (Alabama) Sports Authority is a non-profit sports commission with a mission to create a positive economic and public relations impact for Mobile County, the City of Mobile, and the region through attracting, hosting, managing and supporting sporting events which attract visitors to the Mobile area. MSA is the main point of contact for sports and sports-related activities for the Mobile County area.

Mobile County is famous for a rich sports tradition and can host just about any type of indoor and outdoor sporting event at any time of the year thanks to its semi-tropical climate. The MSA has the ability to successfully host a variety of athletic contests such as tennis, softball, baseball, basketball, and bass fishing as well as rugby, soccer, volleyball, and golf tournaments, gymnastics meets and many running events. Mobile can and does host a diverse number of sporting events, both big and small, and the MSA stands ready to be the point for visiting sporting events.

Dunn aims big for 2015 Flagler County tourism

In the year after Matt Dunn took over the position of vice president of tourism development for Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches, the county recorded the most successful tourist development tax collections in history, with an increase of 13% over the previous year. Dunn and his team are already working to make an even bigger year by rebooking a significant amount of group business, launching a new ad campaign and booking several new events for the area.

Multi-sports complex 'feasible' for former Champion Paper site in Ohio
