Coaches Can Shape Young Athletes' Definition of Success
from
Science Daily

Careful Diagnosis Helps Fracture Patients Put Best Foot Forward
from
Science Daily
Share

have serious consequences, sometimes leading to permanent disability. A new review article published in the December 2009 issue of The Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons shows that a detailed description of the injury, recognition of subtle diagnostic imaging clues, and targeted physical exam can help avoid long-term injuries and disabilities that may occur as a result of these uncommon fractures.

Contracted Athletic Trainer Keeps
Athletes Going
from
The Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter

When Two Rivers, Wis., student athletes are injured, the spectrum of services available to help them can come from one company now. The school district had been contracting with Physiotherapy
Associates for the services of an athletic trainer. Fall semester was under way when athletic director Matt La Tour received a letter informing him the local office was closing. With that door closed, the district began a partnership with Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine in Green Bay, Wis. Through that contract, Melissa Pearson has come on board to work with Two Rivers students.
