Apprentice opens season by winning Electric City Duals

The Apprentice School wrestling team opened its 2009-10 season on Saturday by winning four matches and knocking off American International College 22-19 for the championship of the Electric City Duals at the University of Scranton.

Women's program begins at King College

All the wrestlers have to prove themselves, whether they wear a jock strap or a sports bra. In all aspects Moorman is right. The inaugural King College women's wrestling team's practice before its first meet was run with the same intensity as any men's team.

Missouri senior wrestler grows into leadership role

Lifting massive weights, running for miles, smashing teammates into the mats and going to extreme measures to make weight are all part of the grueling practices that the Missouri wrestling team sometimes has twice a day. Nick Marable, a senior and two-time all-American on the team, has become accustomed to the routine and learned the importance of having a positive attitude. By approaching practice each day with acceptance rather than fear, Marable has improved as a wrestler and grown into a team leader.
