Take it from Dr. Colleen Hacker and Tony DiCicco, two of the coaches for the U.S. Women's National Team during its ultra-successful run in the 1999 World Cup. DiCicco was the USWNT head coach, while Hacker was the sports psychology coach.

MAC and NSCAA release MAC Hermann Watch Lists
NSCAA
Thirty-four men and 31 women have been identified as potential candidates for the 2013 Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy. The MAC Hermann Trophy is the highest individual award in college soccer presented annually to one male and one female athlete. The winners will be announced Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at the trophy presentation banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.

US Youth Soccer Region Championships coming to Baton Rouge

US Youth Soccer is proud to announce that Baton Rouge and Louisiana Soccer Association will host the 2014 US Youth Soccer Region III (South) Championships as part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, the country's oldest and most prestigious national youth soccer tournament. The games will take place at the BREC Burbank-Soccer Complex. The Region III Championships are expected to draw more than 3,600 players and an estimated 12,000 spectators. The Regional consists of 12 US Youth Soccer State Champions, US Youth Soccer Southern Premier League champions, as well as drawn wildcard entries.

US soccer team wins 12th in a row

Trailing 2-0 at halftime, its record winning streak in jeopardy, the U.S. men's soccer team never panicked. There was no need to, not with Jozy Altidore on the team. Altidore led an impressive comeback, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist on the other goal as the U.S. rallied to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina, 4-3, in an exhibition at Sarajevo and extend its record winning streak to 12 games.
