Kwik Goal training video focuses on footwork and finishing

These videos showcase a variety of usable sessions coaches can use and feature Kwik Goal products to enhance the session. In this video, "Receiving and Finishing," the focus is on footwork development, receiving the ball and finishing. As the training session progresses, players should finish through each designated target and increase their pace.

NSCAA announces 2013-14 winter course schedule

Throughout the year, the NSCAA Coaching Academy offers a wide range of educational opportunities to enhance the knowledge of soccer coaches. This winter, the NSCAA is offering a variety of advanced courses to coaches all over the country. These courses will be held across 11 states and include the National Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, Premier Diploma and Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma.

Presque Isle, Maine, girls soccer coach reaches 200th career victory

Ralph Michaud never played high school soccer. But while attending the University of Maine at Presque Isle and discovering the school didn't have a golf team, Michaud decided to test his skills on the soccer field. He eventually transitioned his playing abilities to coaching, and recently, Michaud earned his 200th career victory in his 16th season as coach of the Presque Isle High School girls soccer team.

Sacramento's new pro soccer team still seeking stadium deal

Sacramento's new pro soccer team has a name, a logo and a head coach, and it is taking deposits for season tickets. But, officially, it still doesn't have a home field. Ten months after the team was born — and announced it would play its home games at Sacramento City College's Hughes Stadium — officials with Sacramento Republic FC are still negotiating with the college on a lease.
