Charlotte Moran Tournament Series hosted this winter

The Kirkwood Soccer Club in Delaware will host the 2013 Charlotte Moran Girls College Showcase Tournaments, Nov. 29 through Dec. 1, for U15-U19 girls teams. The one-day showcase will be Friday, Nov. 29, while the two-day showcase will be Nov. 30-Dec. 1, both at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex in New Castle, Del.

2014 NPL Finals to take stage in Greensboro, NC
US Club Soccer
The 2014 NPL Finals, formerly known as the NPL Champions Cup, will be held July 10-14 in Greensboro, N.C. at Bryan Park Soccer Complex. The prestigious event features champions from all 18 NPLs across the country in the U-13 through U-18 boys and girls age groups. Teams play several group games before advancing to elimination rounds in what will eventually determine each age group's NPL national champion. The NPL Finals is the targeted destination for all NPL teams throughout the year-long, league-based competition each season.

Sky to tweet near real-time video highlights from soccer matches

Seeing a soccer game unfold in bursts of 140 characters or less is better than nothing when out of TV range, but a new deal between Twitter and Sky means you won't have to wait to gawp at goals. Sky will begin embedding highlight clips from UEFA Champions League games, such as goals and interviews, in tweets from some of the broadcaster's accounts.
