Liberty and Learning Youth Conference

Fellow Coaches,
Hillsdale College in South Central Michigan is a unique school. I am grateful for the stand that the college takes to support the Constitution.

The Hillsdale College Shooting Sports Center started two years ago and has been growing quickly. Last year we held our first Liberty and Learning Youth Conference, teaching students age 13-18 about our Constitution and the Shooting Sports. Students came from 11 states with shooting experience ranging from All American to beginner. With the success of this program we are expanding it this year.

This years LLYC will be July 11-13. With the beginnings of a competitive shotgun team at the college, I am looking to attract competitive shooters to the college. This is their chance to get first shot at attending. This would give prospective students a great opportunity to come and spend some time at Hillsdale.

This is the preliminary information for this year’s camp. At this web page you can download the tentative schedule and application. Please pass this on to your shooters and do not hesitate to ask any questions you have.

I am also still in need of another shotgun coach to help. If you are interested, please contact me and I will get you the specifics.

Thanks,

Bart Spieth

Sporting Clay and Mental Game Training Academy
NSCA
"Unique, one-of-a-kind instruction..." was how one student summed up the Academy. The Sporting Clays And Mental Game Training Academy started from the idea that a certain level of shooter needs a different level of training to advance his or her shooting skills. A threesome from South Carolina Rick Smith, Donny Roth and Larry Penley developed just this type of training and incorporated it into a one-day school. The results were greater than anticipated and proved the point. Better training brings better results.

The first Sporting Clay and Mental Game Training Academy was held April 16, 2011 at Harris Springs Sportsman Reserve in Waterloo, S.C. Threat of tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and heavy rains filled the atmosphere. Uncertain whether or not this Academy would take place, a decision had to be made. A decision to go forth was settled and by mid-morning the rain had stopped, the wind had settled down and the clouds started to part. The Academy was open for business. More
