Trans-Pacific Partnership talks advance in Texas

The United States has announced that Trans-Pacific Partnership partners — Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States and Vietnam — made better-than-expected progress at the 12th round of negotiations that formally concluded May 16 outside of Dallas. U.S. negotiators have reported to U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk that the progress achieved during this round has further narrowed differences in the text and the teams can now see a clear path forward toward conclusion of most of the more than 20 chapters of the agreement.More

Cotton/Poly woven stretch fabric sought for DR-CAFTA program

The National Textile Association has been approached by a manufacturer seeking sources for the cotton/polyester woven stretch fabric specified. Note that the fabric will be used in a school uniform program in the Dominican Republic- Central America Free Trade Agreement region and requires fabric formed in the DR-CAFTA region of yarn formed in the DR-CAFTA region.More
