The National Textile Association, the American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition and the National Council of Textile Organizations has praised a bipartisan letter organized by U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., signed by 52 congressmen that was sent to U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Ron Kirk. It stressed the importance of negotiating strong textile and apparel terms in the ongoing Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement talks. More

Held biannually, DSEi is the world's largest fully integrated defense and security event and provides participants the ability to showcase their full capabilities at a single exhibition to a pre-qualified attendee base. The U.S. Department of Commerce Office of Textiles and Apparel will maintain a sample and information booth at DSEi 2011 for up to 12 qualified U.S. manufacturers and suppliers of military/defense and industrial/technical textiles. Participants in this catalog/sample show are offered a package of services including the collection of leads that will be sent to each company in a spreadsheet after the show, promotion of samples and pre-show publicity.
