Fleetwood to Sell Major Part of RV Business

As part of its ongoing bankruptcy reorganization, Riverside-based Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. announced it has sold a major part of its recreational vehicle manufacturing business. American Industrial Partners Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, paid $53 million for Fleetwood's remaining motor home assets in Indiana, as well as equipment and machinery in Riverside, in a deal approved by a U.S. Bankruptcy Court, according to a statement released by the company. Maryland County Tightens Parking Rules for RVs

Montgomery County residents won't be able to park their motor homes or campers on the street in front of their houses after new parking regulations go into effect. Instead, recreational vehicle owners will have 18 hours to park on the street to load and unload their rigs, and will then have to park in a private space. Under current laws, RVs can only be parked on public roads for 24 hours, unless they are in front of an owner’s house, in which case they can remain parked the street. More
