The U.S. House of Representatives passed the conference report of the surface transportation bill, commonly referred to as the highway bill, which included a weight exemption for RVs in the Federal Bridge Formula. "I am pleased that my Republican colleagues and I were able to work together to make a common sense change that will help the RV industry preserve and create jobs," U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., stated in a news release "The RV industry is crucial to northern Indiana’s economy. RV manufacturing has long been a major economic driver in places like Elkhart by directly employing thousands in RV plants and thousands more in suppliers' factories." More

111 campsites down, 100 to go at Fonner Park in Nebraska

For the first time, about half of the RV campsites developed at Fonner Park in Grand Island for use during the Nebraska State Fair are ready to be open year-round. The 111 sites are the product of three years of construction on the RV park, which has operated during the State Fair on a conditional-use permit because the sites didn't comply with city code. More

Jack Sisemore and his son, Trent, opened the RV Museum this spring behind their Amarillo RV dealership, Sisemore Traveland, at 4341 Canyon Drive. It showcases RVs they have bought and lovingly restored over the years, just because they wanted to. The museum's free, and they won't even try to talk you into buying an RV while you're there.
