The Paradise Lake Family Campground is located in beautiful, historic Appomattox, Virginia. They are the most centrally located campground in the state of Virginia and offer a fine, family oriented camping facility with full services. Most of their sites are level and graveled. They are open all year but services are limited in the off-season.

You will enjoy the clear spring-fed lake and sandy beach on a hot summer's day. You will find plenty of interests to keep your family entertained, or if you prefer a peaceful afternoon... just sit in the gazebo in their park. They have and can accommodate large or small group campouts.

With easy access on State Route 460, a major route running East and West nearly through the middle of the state end to end, they are just 9 miles East of Lynchburg or 7 miles West of the Appomattox National Historic Park; where you can re-live the drama of the closing days of the war between the states. Where the actual "gentlemen's agreement" between General Rober E. Lee and General Ulysses S. Grant took place on April 9, 1865 in the McLean House. Traveling just about 30 miles West you will find the National D-Day Memorial in beautiful, mountainous Bedford County as well as the most visited National Park system in America, The Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive parkway system.

Other historic points of interest abound within minutes of the campground. Visit the splendid Blue Ridge Mountains, Peaks of Otter, and Natural Bridge. 117 total RV sites, can accommodate RVs up to 42 ft, 30/50 amp service, full hook-ups, pull-thrus available, 37 tent sites, bath houses with showers, laundry, propane, dump station, camp store, snack bar, in-ground swimming pool, NEW game room, 2 pavilions, stocked fishing lake with beach area for swimming, volleyball and NEW basketball court, and 2 playgrounds.
