Big Oak River Camp is located on the banks of the Nueces River and is great camping for everyone! They have shade sites with beautiful pecan and oak trees. They have 27 RV sites, and can accommodate any size RV, 30/50 amp service, full hook-ups, and pull-through sites. They have Laundry facilities, 2 dump stations, men and women's bath-house, meeting room, playground, basketball court, volleyball court, all sports court, driving range, putting green, convenience store, full equipped log cabins, and tent camping. They have tons of water fun including swimming, fishing, kayaking, tubing and snorkeling. They are located near Barksdale (25 miles South of Rocksprings) and Camp Wood (4 miles South of Barksdale). Big Oak River Camp is located 5 miles south of Camp Wood, on Hwy. 55 south. Located 34 miles from Uvalde, and 120 miles from San Antonio.

Their beautiful log cabins, with the signature red roofs, offer all the comforts of home. Each cabin is outfitted with full kitchen and bath facilities. The kitchens are fully stocked with all pots/pans, dishes and cooking/eating utensils. They furnish a microwave, coffee pot and Direct TV. The cabin is furnished with a Queen Size bed, a full size futon and a small dining table. They do not furnish linens so make sure you bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. A BBQ Pit, fire ring, picnic table and porch swing are just added amenities for your enjoyment.

Passport America discount is available September 15 through May 14th only. Passport America discount cannot be used with any other discount. Reservations preferred. Pets are allowed, but must be on a leash. *Prices are for 2 people, $2.00 per night for each additional person. Their regular nightly rate is $26.00; Passport America Price is $13.00.
