Devils Tower National Monument. Proclaimed the Nation's first National Monument in 1906 and located just 28 miles away is one of the most unique and interesting places you will ever see. Known by several northern plains tribes as Bears Lodge, it is a sacred site of worship for many American Indians.
The Vore Buffalo Jump, located 13 miles east of Sundance, WY, was used by the Native Americans for several hundred years to procure the buffalo which was their primary food and materials source. They are located 13 miles east of Sundance between exits 199 and 205 along the north frontage road. A nonprofit corporation based in Sundance is beginning a major fund drive to pay for the first stage of a $7 million interpretive center at the Vore Buffalo Jump site near Beulah
