Getaway Lodge & Campground, Bradford, TN

Getaway Lodge, a two-story log home, is located in rural northwest Tennessee. Strikingly situated on 40 very secluded acres, the retreat includes a private and scenic spring-fed, two-acre lake with dock that is tucked away amidst mature woods and gently rolling fields. While the pristine setting takes guests back to nature, lodge accommodations provide all the comforts of home amidst a decor of rustic charm. Unseen from the lodge are two RV hookups and spots for tent camping on clean and well-maintained grounds that may be rented separately or in conjunction with the lodge.

Getaway Lodge is a place to rejuvenate and unwind. It's a place for couples, families and business or social groups to escape a hectic pace and enjoy a private and serene setting for relaxation and renewal. The secure, gated location shuts out civilization. Outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds will be especially comfortable on the grounds.

Getaway Lodge is a two-story authentic log home built to the highest standards of craftsmanship. It is fully air conditioned and heated, and always clean for your arrival. Two large gas fireplaces add to the ambiance. Furnishings are comfortable, but with a degree of rustic elegance. Guests are encouraged to make full use of the lodge, grounds and amenities. The porch wraps around all sides of the lodge, with the most stunning view on the east side where the two-acre lake rests. The front porch is the perfect spot for sipping coffee or wine and viewing a variety of birds that visit the lake and grounds.

Porch seating in the warmer months includes rocking chairs, Adirondack chairs and cushioned iron furniture. A large great room with gas fireplace has ample seating with a commanding view of the lake. The kitchen is fully furnished for cooking and serving a full range of meals. Refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffeemaker and other smaller appliances are available. Guests must bring their own food, though basic condiments are available. There is a large indoor dining table and also porch tables. For outdoor cooking, there is a gas grill, a charcoal grill and a wood-burning outdoor pit.

The lodge has 3 bedrooms and 2 full/spacious bathrooms. The two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. One bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other a full-size bed. The extra large upstairs bedroom has a king-size bed, a large gas fireplace and its own bathroom with leaded glass window. Both bathrooms feature claw-foot tubs. There are no showers in the lodge. During warmer months, there is a hot shower in the spacious bath house that may be used. Many guests rave about the appeal of showering in privacy while feeling like they are outdoors. The bath house is just a short walk from the lodge.

Swimmers and sun lovers will enjoy a very scenic and private lake and above-ground pool all to themselves. There are lakeside chairs and loungers for sunning and relaxing, as well as water floats. The lake also has a dock.

Two full RV hookups are available with 30 amp electric feed, water and septic hookup. Tent camping is permitted. For the convenience of their RV and camping guests, a bath house featuring flush toilet, hot shower, sink and washing machine is available 24/7 and located very near the RV hookups.

Guests are encouraged to inquire about bringing ATVs, horses, bikes and golf carts. Special interest groups, including hikers, bikers, Civil War enthusiasts, paint ballers, festival goers, antique hunters, model boat and airplane hobbyists, and more, are all welcome.

Getaway Lodge is positioned among the rolling hills of 40 acres. The woods and pastures may be hiked. Walking trails takes guests to sections of the property not visible from the lodge. Wildlife is abundant, including many varieties of birds that are attracted to the lake, woods and pastures. Birders will enjoy Getaway Lodge for birding on the premises and for its proximity to nearby bird watching sanctuaries in northwest Tennessee. Star gazers will be amazed at what they can see in the dark sky (unless there is a full moon) without the interference of city lights.

The Lodge is a non-smoking facility. Pets are welcome on the property, but not in the lodge. Owners are responsible for their pets' safety and actions.
