Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park Americus, Georgia
Some say Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park is a diamond in the rough, but to some RVers, it’s an “ace in the hole.’ Brickyard Plantation is a working sod farm that added a 27-hole golf club to its business in 1979. Later in 2000, a small RV park was added. In five short years, site capacity has been increased to 32 and growing. All sites are “pull throughs” with 30/50 amp service and can accommodate rigs plus tows up to 75 feet. All sites are very wide and spacious and overlook a fishing pond. Guests can take advantage of the great golf discounts and play the very walker-friendly 27-hole championship course year-round.
Brickyard Plantation Golf and RV Park is located only 24 miles west of I-75 (exit 101) on US Hwy 280 in South Georgia near Americus. The facility makes a great stop-over during the annual Snowbird North-South run. Better yet, it’s a great place to winter because of their reasonable year-round rates. Passport America member fees are only $15.00 for camping plus $5.00 green fee.
Many additional activities, along with the daily golf and golf tournaments, are held during the year. The owners and park host plan special events associated with all the major holidays along with regular parties and card games played in the proshop “hayloft” lounge. Happy Hours are held at the pavilion and fire pit every Tuesday and Friday, and a Bluegrass Jam is held in July.
