A warrant was issued for Marcus Pixley of Boston, 52, after he failed to show up for pre-trial hearings in his case. Pixley has an 11-page record of rape, armed robbery and other convictions for violent crimes. More

Jackson County, Mich., will receive its first $100,000 payment after a settlement agreement was reached concerning Ricky Wheeldon's outstanding $500,000 bond. With the settlement, agreed upon during a hearing before Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Wilson, Mason-based Leo's Bail Bonds avoided writing Jackson County a $500,000 check for Wheeldon's bond. The county, in return, will receive regular payments and will not have to refund the money if Wheeldon is caught. More

A registered sex offender from Olympia, Wash., who has been living as a fugitive for six years in Mexico, and possibly Oman, returned to a Thurston County courtroom to face the potential of up to an additional 10 years in prison, according to a prosecutor. Kristopher Kreutzer, 32, pleaded guilty in March 2002 to three counts of first-degree child molestation for sexually abusing two girls, starting when they were younger than 12, court papers state. Alaska State Troopers say the search is on for a hunting guide who now is a fugitive. Troopers say Michael Roberts cut off his ankle monitor recently in Anchorage. He was out on bail for allegedly guiding without a guide's license, flying without a pilot's license and driving without a valid driver's license. More

A Bellevue, Neb., fugitive recovery company, after a month of hunting, tracked to Lincoln a man wanted for car theft, a misdemeanor warrant out of Sarpy County and a felony warrant from Idaho.
