Conference update: Judge Mathis is coming to Las Vegas!
PBUS
We are very excited to have Judge Mathis as our keynote speaker at the gala dinner on Tuesday night.

Judge Mathis is in his 15th season of his television show, "Judge Mathis." He brings humor and good judgment to his litigants and viewers through personal experience. This stems from his experience as a teenager who was involved with gangs, dropped out of school and spent time in jail. He then turned his life around and believes in the judicial system and "tough love."

Judge Mathis became the youngest judge in the state of Michigan's history. He served as a Superior Court judge before he moved to his television role on the show created for him: "Judge Mathis."

Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to hear what he has to say. Make your plans now so you don’t miss a minute of it.

Juvenile jail overcrowding an issue for South Texas county
The Associated Press via KTRK-TV
Hildago County in South Texas — which is also the poorest nation — is facing a crisis: The booming population of young people led to overcrowding at the county's juvenile detention facility. The 137,000-square-foot jail was built in 2007 to replace a much smaller facility that was also plagued with overcrowding issues.

A growing challenge: Witness intimidation on social media
NBC News
When news broke that there was an Instagram account devoted exclusively to ratting out witnesses to crimes across Philadelphia, social media experts barely blinked an eye. "It's absolutely not surprising to me. People are taking pictures of witnesses, they're posting them online and they're doing it specifically for witness intimidation," said Bradley Shear, a Bethesda, Md., attorney who specializes in social media law.
