Plans are in the works to open another 18-hole disc golf course in the New River Valley in Virginia as the sport continues to grow in popularity. There are three courses in the NRV, each with its own quirks: One at Randolph Park in Pulaski County; another around Mountain Lake in Giles County; and the Golden Hills course at Midtown Park in Montgomery County, near the Frog Pond swimming pool.More

Portage Lakes Disc Golf Course offers 18 holes of free fun

There are a number of places in New Franklin, Ohio, where someone can play standard golf. But there is only one place in the area to play 18 holes of disc golf - and, not only that, but there is no fee to play. The 18-hole course is located in the Portage Lakes State Park on Manchester Road.More

Valarie Jenkins notched her fourth National Tour win at the Beaver State Fling in Oregon to earn her fourth 100 point event in the "Drive for the Championship" presented by Vibram Disc Golf. Since competitors will bring only their top four finishes into the Vibram Open on Labor Day weekend, this means Val is sitting pretty at a perfect 400 points.More
