Independent Mail    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
After landing his disc in the first hole, in four throws, Anderson County Sheriff John Skipper Jr. told the crowd that he had made it in two shots. "Anyone want to argue?" he asked, with mock malice. No one did. Skipper was perhaps the best novice at disc golf to play at the opening of a new Anderson, S.C., course. He made the one hole that a group of Anderson County officials played in fewer shots than interim county administrator Rusty Burns, county council Chairman Tommy Dunn or several other Anderson County officials. The 19th Hole Report    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Schenectady, N.Y., is an area that's not too far from a number of quality golf courses, and while the sport of golf has seen a rise in popularity, especially since Tiger Woods exploded onto the PGA scene, another form of golf has also taken rise: disc golf.
