Tennessee's Opry Mills Mall reopens
to huge crowds

The Tennessean    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Nearly two years after the historic Nashville, Tenn., flood, Opry Mills reopened with public officials, families, senior citizens and students on spring break rejoicing. Two hours before the doors would open at the newly remodeled Opry Mills, shoppers waited in line outside the mall with a air of anticipation. With a party like atmosphere, the crowd shared where-were-you-when flood stories and proclaimed the first store they would hit when the doors opened. And when they opened, shoppers stormed inside ready to take a first look at Opry Mills. "This means a lot for the city," Nashville Mayor Karl Dean said. "One of the most obvious things is this is really one of the last pieces of the puzzle of the flood recovery." More

CNBC    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Upscale shoppers and bargain hunters have one thing in common despite their economic difference — high gas prices aren't putting a dent in their appetite for shopping despite what some surveys have recently said. In tough times like these, they need a bargain." More

Today's Facility Manager    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
So much has changed in the security industry over the last decade, it's hard to know whether it's chiefly because of 9/11, the meteoric advances in technology, or the facility management profession's growing sophistication with — and demand for — the latest and greatest technology. It's likely a combination of all three, but regardless of the cause, facility managers need to keep up with the constantly evolving realities of security and access control in a world that demands and deserves only the best.
