The Italian-based company posted net income of 150.1 million euro, compared with 115.3 million euro in the same quarter last year, beating the average expectations of 145.3 million forecast by eight analysts polled by Thomas Reuters. The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. said it has completed its first solar installation in Boston, adding to seven other stores in the Northeast where it is already generating clean power, the company announced. The Quincy-based grocer installed photovotaic panels on its store at 1100 Massachusetts Ave. in Dorchester as part of a broader campaign to reduce its carbon emissions 20 percent by 2015. Stop & Shop has also installed panels on stores in Dedham and Somerville, as well as on five other outlets in New Jersey and Connecticut. Radio Shack, one of the largest U.S. retailers of mobile phones, said it planned to open kiosks in most of Target's 1,700 discount stores, as it faces a drive by rivals Best Buy and Wal-Mart into the rapidly expanding wireless business. San Francisco-based Flash game site Kongregate has been acquired by game retailer GameStop. The deal was formally announced on Kongregate's blog, as well as a press release by GameStop's corporate unit. The amount of the deal was not disclosed. In a note to Kongregate's user, Kongregate co-founder and CEO Jim Greer said that GameStop's offer was one of many, but that GameStop's was the best fit for the site because of "the degree to which they get what we're doing, and value it for what it is." The store in Austin, Texas, awaits certification. Houston-based restaurateurs Chris and Harris Pappas have agreed to guarantee up to $13 million in Luby's Inc. debt as the cafeteria chain absorbs the bankrupt Fuddruckers hamburger chain. The Pappas brothers own 31 percent of the company's stock, or 8.8 million shares. Chris Pappas is president and chief executive of Luby's, and Harris Pappas is chief operating officer. The two also operate the popular Pappas Brothers steakhouses and other Pappas-named chains. More

That's the plan behind Galerie Harfa, a half-built shopping mall perched above Prague's Vysocany suburb that will have a dinosaur-themed amusement park, fitness center and rooftop swimming pool.
