Question of the week
RBMA
Does one or more of your payor contracts allow your imaging center to initiate prior-authorization of imaging services — or is it silent on the issue — and, if so, what has been the impact on your net collections (increased referrals and decreased denials balanced against increased administrative costs)?

Click here to take the poll.

RBMA's Alternative Payment Models mini-Survey closes this Friday
RBMA
RBMA is conducting a mini-Survey that collects information on the prevalence of radiology practices participating in accountable care organizations and other alternative payment models, characteristics of these organizations and models, and trends of these models.

Anonymous results of this survey will be presented during the RBMA 2014 Radiology Summit in Charlotte, N.C. If your practice is participating, or investigating participation, in an ACO or other integrated delivery system model, we would also like to talk to you! The last question collects contact information for respondents who are willing to share details of their ACO/APM experience with the faculty for this presentation.

The survey is anonymous, and confidentiality of your response is assured. Only aggregated results will be reported.

Please click here to access the questionnaire, and here to download a glossary for this mini-Survey.

The mini-Survey will be open for participation until April 4.

If you think we are living in a world that runs on gasoline or natural resources, you're wrong. We run on information. Companies today collect all kinds of information, for B2B purposes, and more importantly, for consumer-marketing purposes. Retailers know what we buy, what we like to eat, when we go out and where we go, real-time, as well as when we check in on Facebook or Foursquare. Now they want even more.
