RBMA Annual Meeting notification and electronic vote
RBMA
The Annual Meeting of Members of the Radiology Business Management Association will be held at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Tuesday, May 21, at approximately 9 a.m. RBMA's Bylaws, Article IV, Section 3 require notification not more than 60 and not less than five days prior to the date of such meeting.

RBMA conducts the election of the Slate of Candidates for the RBMA Board of Directors electronically. This allows members who do not attend the Radiology Summit to participate in the election.

Only Active (ACT and 2ND, or Voting) Members may vote on the Slate of Candidates, which consists of nominees for two Regional Director and four Director-At-Large positions. All Active members should have received the link for the electronic ballot. If you have not received it, please email vote2013@rbma.org. Ballots are due by May 3.

The results of the election will be announced at the 2013 Annual Members' Meeting, and the new directors will take office immediately upon the conclusion of the meeting.

A radiologist running the Boston Marathon with his daughter, a pediatrician, were among the first healthcare providers on the scene after bombs exploded at the finish line of the race. According to the Boston Globe and the L.A. Times, Joe Stavas, M.D., a professor of Radiology and Vascular Interventional Radiology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, was close to the finish line when the bombs exploded.

A senior Democratic senator who helped write President Barack Obama's healthcare law stunned administration officials, saying openly he thinks it's headed for a "train wreck" because of bumbling implementation.
